Join Artist Nermina Krneta Who Will Speak on Her Art and What Inspires Her

Clearwater’s Second Century Studios will host an artist meet and greet with Nermina Krneta, a local photographer who recently won the Mayor’s Choice Award in the Art: After Hours exhibit.
You are invited to meet Krneta and learn about her photography, what inspires her artwork and how she achieves success in her craft.
The meet and greet will be from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Second Century Studios, 331 Cleveland St.
Krneta, who was born in Croatia, is a senior systems analyst with the city’s Information Technology Department. She has been interested in photography since childhood and enjoys capturing precious moments in life and in nature.
Krneta presented photographs for the Art: After Hours exhibit at Second Century Studios. A total of 10 current employees and one retired employee contributed to the exhibit. The talented artists contributed a variety of original artwork, including oil paintings, acrylic paintings, photography, custom handmade knives, leather sheaths and mixed media.
Krneta earned the Mayor’s Choice Award for one of her photographs. Clearwater Police Cpl. Gary Bonzo was awarded the City Manager’s Choice Award for his paintings.
Second Century Studios will also be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 and 29 and July 2, 6, 9, 11 and 13.
Second Century Studios is an art space located at the corner of Cleveland Street and Osceola Avenue in Downtown Clearwater that has been supported by the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Second Century Studios has hosted a number of art exhibits and art classes since its September 2017 opening.
The space also serves as a location to introduce the public to future Downtown Clearwater initiatives, including planned enhancements to Coachman Park, Cleveland Street and the Downtown Gateway.
