no tickets required but offering takenWHAT: BOUNDLESSLY BEAUTIFUL BRAHMS The concert season opens with a wonderful classical concert featuring violist Michael Klotz and pianist Grigorios Zamparas. They will present an afternoon of Brahms featuring the two viola sonatas, piano intermezzi, and Hungarian Dances in a special arrangement for viola and piano. The rich acoustics of the Peace sanctuary are perfectly suited for these instruments.
WHO: DUO KLOTZ/ ZAMPARAS
Michael Klotz, Viola. Michael is violist with the highly regarded Amernet String Quartet, Ensemble in Residence at Florida International University. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music and his Masters from Juilliard. He is an acclaimed violist with many worldwide performances and he enjoys developing interesting programs and collaborating with other leading artists of today.
Grigorios Zamparas, Piano. Grigorios received his earliest training and degrees in Greece, followed by his Masters in Music from Indiana University and his Doctorate at the University of Miami. He is a highly acclaimed piano soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. He is a Professor of Piano at University of Tampa and he records on the Centaur label.
