Sierra Hull

March 1, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST

Fri, Mar 1 at 8:00 PM @ Capitol Theatre

GRAMMY® nominated and International Bluegrass Music Association 2017 Mandolin Player of the Year Sierra Hull strums her way to her back to the Capitol Theatre. Known as a genre-leaping banjo master who plays the mandolin with refined elegance and freedom; she is adored by her peers and legends like Allison Krauss, who has won more GRAMMY®’s than any other female artist in history. Her latest release, Weighted Mind, is a landmark achievement in folk-pop, bluegrass, and acoustic music. With instrumentation comprised largely of mandolin, bass, and vocals, this is genre-transcending music at its best, with production by Béla Fleck and special harmony vocal guests Alison Krauss, Abigail Washburn, and Rhiannon Giddens adding to the luster. Hull has played at the White House, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, and she became the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. Witness the power of the mandolin only at the historic Capitol Theatre.

Tickets $38 and $25. Performance is at the Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St, Downtown Clearwater.
