The Capitol Theatre, located in Downtown Clearwater, was constructed in 1921 and is one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters. In 2016, industry trade publication Pollstar named the Capitol Theatre the #42 club venue in the world and within that same ranking, the only Florida venue in the Top 50. In 2013, the theatre underwent a complete $10 million renovation and is a catalyst for downtown redevelopment.
The theatre is located near the corner of Cleveland Street and Osceola Avenue and situated on what is Clearwater’s original “main street” with a view of Clearwater Harbor. It is within a short walk to Coachman Park and within a few minutes drive to Clearwater Beach. Ample public parking is available nearby and limited adjacent metered parking is located on Cleveland Street. Valet Service is available for a fee for most events.
