The Capitol Theatre Brings Internationally Known Recording Artists to Clearwater

Constructed in 1921 and one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters, the Capitol Theatre was named #42 on the list of club venues in the world in Pollstar, an industry trade publication. Within that same ranking, the Capitol Theatre is the only Florida venue in the Top 50. In 2013, the theatre underwent a complete $10 million renovation and is a catalyst for downtown redevelopment.

Locals Favorite Place to Watch a Sunset

If you find yourself wanting to see a bright and beautiful sunset and know you won't be able to get to the beach, head down Cleveland Street and park along the waterfront. The Clearwater Harbor Marina is less than 2.5 miles from Clearwater Beach and is a great place to view the sunset.

Second Century Studios

Second Century Studios is a co-op art space and offers an opportunity for the city of Clearwater to promote current planning initiative as well as showcase local art through a partnership with Bazaar Art. The studio celebrates Clearwater and allows the public to interact with the artists as they produce their latest artistic work.

Historic Courthouse in Downtown Clearwater

The act creating Pinellas County was passed by the State Legislature in May 1911. Clearwater became the county seat and operations began January 1, 1912. This regal courthouse, built in 1961 at a cost of $6,000,000, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
