Art in action: The latest addition to the Sculpture 360 Program is up in Downtown Clearwater! Check out this timelapse of the installation in October 2020, which you can find in person at 112 S. Osceola Ave.

Titled "Ring Canopy," the sculpture's energetic rings, which represent cycle of life and connectivity, are raised above the ground, resting on curved beams. The beams are elegantly curved, however there is a disconnect between the rings and mother earth. To the artist this represents the beauty that humans often create that at the same time leaves us forgetting about our natural environment.

We're excited to host this program and bring high-quality art to downtown!

Featured: The Centennial Oak by artist Douwe Blumberg stands at the entrance to the @clearwaterlibrary and was created in 2015 in celebration of the city’s centennial anniversary. The tree’s structure is a composition of aluminum wire, cabling, and support beams. Its canopy is made of hundreds of vibrantly-colored polycarbonate leaves, which mimic the beautiful sunsets over Clearwater Beach – a regular site from the downtown library.
